I liked the location and the historical significance.
You may read this review and think I'm pedantic but I consider this as one of the best hotels in Zagreb and therefore it has high expectations to deliver as such. Carpeting, neaveau cuisine
Nice atmosphere, convenient location
Disappointed with service at the bar. Every time wee ordered something, we had to remind and waiting time was really too long for drinks. Concierge desk was always empty when we passed by, so couldn't make inquiries about neighboorhod.
Breakfast was nice and reasonably priced. The breakfast area decor was outstanding.
For me the mattresses were too soft.
The hotel is a beautiful historic building with classic interiors and an atmosphere full of character. Both restaurants are decent, but the štrukli served at the Bistro are absolutely delicious - truly a highlight. At check-in, I had to go inside and organize valet service and help with luggage myself, which was surprising for a five-star hotel. They have great breakfast!
The property is very regal, classy with excellent customer service.
Be careful when calling the Esplanade Hotel; our phone call was intercepted by a scammer who was demanding 100 euro a day for parking. Do not pay anything via a link that is emailed to you- scam artists are ripping customers off by charging double the amount.

Beautiful art deco building and rooms with very modern facilities. Very elegant restaurant delivering first rate food. Highly recommended.
