Excellent blend of old style and modern Hotel with exceptionally friendly and well trained staff . Great Gym and Swimming pool with excellent SPA . Really excellent breakfast . Super relaxing
Restaurants were very nice but food selection was a bit all over the place and not special...unlike surrounding wine farm property restaurants which were amazing . Everything else really top class and would thoroughly recommend .
The grounds, pools and trees are stunning. The interiors are modern and beautiful. Staff are very friendly and professional.

The food was disappointing.
Hotel under renovations and was not aware of this when I booked - limited spa facilities. Staff were however super friendly. Definitely worth a revisit when renovations complete.

Attractive looking hotel and the grounds were kept immaculate, the cleaners also did a good job keeping the hotel very clean and tidy.
I booked this hotel as it looked a beautiful hotel in a tranquil spot in Somerset West, I booked a Deluxe King room as it showed a light airy room with doors opening out onto a patio with a table and chairs and a lounger, that is not what we got on arrival! A little overpriced for what is offered. The rooms can do with upgrading.
The staff was excellent, friendly and efficient (especially the restaurant staff). The food is exceptionally good. At a fair price. The luxurious finishes in the rooms are very European quality and in Africa, a very pleasant experience. The fact that no loadshedding was experienced, was also a sigh of relief.
Even though the finishes are at a very high standard, the water / plumbing is very sad to say, poor. It is impossible to shower in room 6 as the water temperature is either very hot or very cold (never in the middle), and the taps do not allow for easy temperature adjustment.
