Superb location with peace and quiet guaranteed! Beautiful sounds of birds and river. Very comfy room, immaculate, with avene products given in the bathroom. Clean and beautiful swimming pool. We loved the breakfast choices.
Maintenance of the room :( bath did not empty easily and the coffee machine was not working. We hope this was due to the winter closure. The restaurant is set up for curists and served only a set menu.

We were counting on some time in hot springs based on the name of the hotel, but no such thing seemed to exist.
Only one real fault, dinner! The food combination really didn't work and portions were really small.

A shame we could not book anything anymore in terms of treatments. At the reception, they were not aware of the treatments & availabilities.

restaurant a bit pretentious and despite requesting in advance and being assured of vegetarian options, the restaurant did not really cater for vegetarians.
As you may know Avene is quite remote However that’s where beauty prevails. I suggest hiring a car as there’s plenty of free parking around the hotel. A taxi from Montpelier airport cost around 160 euros. You may also take a shuttle however it’s only once a week I think. The place is of such beauty. Nature at its finest. I did not sleep well because of the heat and while the staff did what they could to provide a fan for air circulation, I feel management should be prepared with a "Plan B" for those situations -- rare though they may be -- when area temperatures become extremely hot.Read more
it was set in the most stunning location with beautiful walks.
we arrived and told the restaurant was fully booked for the next week. we were given some restaurants in the village one was closed the other full. so we missed a meal!
