Absolutely gorgeous!! Wonderfully relaxing. I felt like I was taken into a luxurious farm+chateau+forest. The bikes were slightly broken and not easy to ride, but it was a wonderful way to see the HUGE property’ Please do not skip the tour of the animals!! I love the animal/farm keeper who gave us such a wonderful tour and explained so many details. I even saw some baby calves!!
Restaurant was so so so disappointing. We were there for 5 days and I definitely tried the dishes.. many were disappointing and very few that were good. We also tried room service and I was horrified about the way the burger came to our room. The sauces and dripping and messy and looked like it was carelessly thrown on .
Peaceful and beautiful setting.
Light switches were a bit of a nightmare to operate - I suspect if we had stayed more than one night we would have mastered them ok.

This is a gorgeous property. The gym and heated indoor pool is opened 24h. The staff extremely professional and kind. The Châteaux felt like our own home. From the attic game room to the tennis court and the paddle boat on the pond. From the walks through the woods and their herbs garden and let’s not forget the beautiful spa!!We never felt there wasn’t something to discover!!
The property is stunning in a beautiful setting. It certainly had the wow factor. We were made to feel very special on arrival and the restaurant ambience was truly special. It felt like an escape from all the stresses of the real world! The decor is fantastic!

The Donaine is set in the most incredible chateau and grounds. It is renovated to the highest of standards with a contemporary feel. Every single detail is perfect. The room was large more like a suite in the chateau itself with the most spectacular view of the lake. The bedding and pillows are so incredibly soft and the staff cater to your every whim. Great customer service and fabulous accommodation in an absolutely beautiful area.
Absolutely GORGEOUS & elegant chateaux and grounds, sweet and thoughtful staff, extensive contemporary art collection inside and out, excellent food. It’s delightful to take the rowboat out on the lake. Also, we enjoyed a truffle farm tour that the hotel arranged about an hour away.
Nothing at all. The staff tell you “we are in the middle of nowhere,” and that’s true. There is no reason to leave the huge property. But this isn’t the place to stay if you want shopping or nightlife.

The luggage to carry out to the car when is raining and not very practicable with small rocky for suitcase ! And maybe the shower need to be slightly more clean
Absolutely drop dead gorgeous!! Staff and facilities amazing. Kitchen could use a little more polish. Overall truly outstanding!!
