Pros (+) Lovely location on the river, great staff and a perfect retreat in the garden lodge
Cons (-) Dinner was amazing, fabulous food but service was very quick, would have loved a break between courses.

Pros (+) A brilliant location in a separate lodge next to the river with a good view and private seating area.
Cons (-) It was very well equipped. I would only suggest a toaster is added to the inventory for more flexibility.

Pros (+) Fantastic location! Loved the views and silence.
Cons (-) The bed was overly too soft and there was not much support. Highly recommend to change the mattress to allow travellers to sleep more comfortably. Overall it’s a fantastic location and great hotel to stay in.

Pros (+) The views around the hotel.
Cons (-) The room we had was located outside the hotel which meant we had to use coats and umbrellas to get to reception and the breakfast room etc., Not a problem if weather was good but on one of our day’s spent there it was raining.

Pros (+) Charming hotel in beautiful grounds. The room was very spacious and comfortable and a nice en suite with a separate bath and shower. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Cons (-) Nothing that we didn't like; only that the decor and interior design of the room could do with updating a bit.

Pros (+) Beautiful location, friendly, helpful staff, large bedroom and en suite. Everywhere was spotless and a large paddock to walk the dog albeit we had to keep him on a lead as there were sheep grazing when we stayed. The breakfast were tasty with local sourced products, and the evening meals fabulous but a little pricy.
Cons (-) Would have liked a lunch time menu, they did do an afternoon tea and savoury platter, but no snack available.

Pros (+) The location was amazing, walking the fields along the river is beautiful. The staff are friendly and helpful, couldn’t ask for better service. We got food at the restaurant, that was brilliant, welsh salmon was some of the best I’ve ever had. Breakfast was very nice, not greasy.
Cons (-) Our only complaint was the bed. For us it was uncomfortable. It was a kingsize, but it was two beds put together with a noticeable hole between them.

Joaquin, May 2025
Pros (+) The room was spacious, bed comfortable. Good shower and bathtub. Lots of furniture. Amazing views and river. Good parking space. Easy to find and has a petrol station right outside which was quite convenient.
Cons (-) The breakfast buffet is a bit basic because you have to order and that takes a bit long to wait. Coffee wasn’t great. Room a bit noisy even wearing earplugs.
