Fantastic location on walking distance to shops and restaurants
The location is great for walking to many great places, from restaurants and shops, Dee and his team made my stay very pleasant, from the daily breakfast and the smiles they make you feel at home.
Need to bring back the restaurant, happy hour is great and food was great but we need more choices
The breakfast was boring There were some croissants and coffee. That was it. Gone was the charm that this place once had. People used to want to go there as it was a conveniently located interesting piece of history, in Old Town. I thought as a San Diegan it would have been fun to stay & finally did The hotel had no staff as in you arrive to empty locked out hotel You are told by a sign to call which the man then admitted that’s always a problem for people from uk as they arrive often their cell phones don’t work yet this is how they run things?! Stay away! It’s an empty hotel with no running restaurant and not a single staff person to even ask a question .. you will be in room that is to be historically decorated so no phone or tv which was fine but wifi bad & the bed was lumpy rocks and again no one there to ask a thingRead more
Dee and the staff were very helpful with everything. The location was amazing and the hotel itself was very clean and beautiful with a lot of history behind it.
Great staff, super kind, welcoming, and communicated really well. I loved the property and all the details. Morning coffee with scones and croissants was wonderful. Will stay there again.
I love the location. The hotel was beautiful. The historical aspect were wonderful. Read the journals in the room. Interesting stuff.
The mattress was hard. Some of the furniture and decorations appeared broken. I would go again because the location and beauty.

Dee who greeted us upon arrival was excellent, knowledgeable and friendly. The room we were allocated was amazing with a big copper roll top bath. Decor was great for age of hotel and extremely clean.
Nothing not to like!
