Stunning rural location great interesting architecture. Lovely breakfast.
In nuture silence, staff very friendly and helpfull
The hotel is in an excellent location if your looking for peace, quiet and nature. The room was adequate, but no well put together. The food was good, and the staff tried their best to solve all the problems that kept appearing.
This is not a 4 star hotel. I empathise with th fact that they are with problems contracting people, but that should not affect the guests. The air conditioning in each bedroom had to be turn on at the reception, which is a ridiculous policie for there's almost never no-one there. They did not offer any kind of room service. This is not a 4 star hotel experience at all. The room was not cleaned, b...Read more
great hotel location, good place for relaxation. all the staff and hosts were very polite and kind. hospitality is the first thing you will find out there.
spa was not working but the pool was so beautiful and water was fresh.
- Great location in the middle of nowhere in nature (11 min by car from the nearest village) - Amazing pool and relax area (the way to the pool is rocky and difficult to access for people with difficulties) - Great breakfast - Close to Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo (we had dinner at Taverna da Matilde, one of the best restaurants we've ever been to, we had Naco de Vitela com cogumelos and Farinheiro...
- Bathroom with a translucent wall connected to the room - Central AC, you can't control the temperature and makes loud noise during the night, we didn't sleep well because of this (read reviews about it but booked the room anyway)Read more
Silence. This is the place to heal, love, sleep, and enjoy nature. It is also a place to feel grateful for all that we have. The staff is friendly and kind, and the location—perfectly situated in the middle of nowhere—is ideal for disconnecting from all electronic devices. The room (we were actually offered Casa Arminda) is exceptional: a balcony with chairs overlooking the landscape, and a small ...
This place is synonymous with love for the land and passion for local heritage. The owners deserve praise for their investment in restoring an old village and creating such a beautiful getaway. Here is what we recommend to enhance the guest experience: (1) Mark/Indicate the depth of the pool (2) Improve the signage for the complimentary electric charging stations for guests, and include the inform...Read more
The setting, the nature, the architecture and the silence
-Friendly staff. -Beautiful nature surrounding the hotel. -Fresh, local breakfast ingredients. -Electric car charging facilities. -Nice wooden interior design elements. -Availability of bicycles. -Local welcome drink at reception.
-Better communication of pool opening times would have been appreciated. -The dinner main dish should have some vegetables served alongside it. There were a couple of typical thin Portuguese chips/fries that came with the beef but something else a little healthier could habe been nice. The Chicken Empanada had no side at all. -I think there's a protector sheet over the mattress that's making "plas...Read more
The Hotel/Spa/estate was fantastic. I would go out of my way to stay here again, the staff, owner all aspects of my stay was wonderful
Nothing, it is a great place to stay
- Beautiful environment, location is great - Very calm, perfect to relax - The staff was amazing, very nice people
- SPA didn’t worked during our stay - Pool is very cold (3pm and doesn’t get any more sun) - Restaurant was only available 2/3 nights out of 7, and only for dinner. No options for lunch or snacks, since a coffee shop/restaurant is 11min+ away that affects your stay - Breakfast didn’t had much variety, no menu and limited options (still, very tasty)
