Cons (-) Showers stepping up into baths (with no safety rails or rubber mats) too challenging for those in our 80s, as were the stairs with no lift.

Pros (+) Breakfast excellent. Richard was an excellent host with right balance of friendliness and efficiency. Communal areas very comfortable and relaxing with tasteful furnishings and very clean.
Cons (-) Room 3 was a little cramped and the furnishings a bit tired. The rattan chair was damaged . Having said that it was the cheapest room available, but a freshen up would not be too expensive and make a significant first impression impact, I believe.

Pros (+) Richard and staff are was amazing, breakfast delicious and place v comfortable. Noise of fire doors a little disturbing but that may have been thoughtless guests. Would only change toast to not packaged but that’s being picky as the place is so warm and deserves lots of visitors.
