Great location and facilities, large rooms to use, close to look very parks, malls and right next to a metro station. It has a pool to relax on a hot day with a life guard taking his job seriously, good food from multiple restaurants, excellent services, helpful staff. It's not the hotel's fault but we had to change our room because of the teenagers staying on the same floor running up and down the hallway and slamming multiple doors the whole night, it was impossible to sleep. But the hotel staff was very quick to help us the next morning, and we eventually had a quiet room to sleep for the rest of our stay.Read more
I love love the location. The towels are new and bath robes. And all the thoughtful extras. The fact that the spa closes midnight, staff opens taxi doors and helps with luggage. The convenience of the food street, pizza, Starbucks and Burger King.
They need to do away with carpets it’s time.

20 years using this Hotel when it was Marriot before , a little dip on changeover but back to normal now
Great location, all the amenities you need, friendly staff, great value overall.This is my go to hotel whenever I am in Guangzhou.

It was clean, breakfast was good. Huge variety
Large space, comfortable beds, Starbucks in the hotel is the biggest advantage because you can easily buy a coffee and eat something, because you won't necessarily be able to drink coffee at breakfast.
What I didn't like the most was that after 24 hours of traveling, our room wasn't ready at 2:00 p.m. So we had to change our plans and didn't go to Canton Fair that day. I'll also add that the room wasn't very clean. Additionally, problems with card payments. We had a very nice week long stay at the China Hotel. They gave us a very nice upgrade from our suite to a 1 bedroom suite which was very generous and appreciated for a long stay. The room was excellent. 1.5 bathrooms, well appointed, very comfortable bed & linens. When turned down for the night, it got super dark which we appreciate. The hotel is clean, but it is very well worn in and hasn't been updated in quite some time. Our non smoking room had an ashtray in it, and did slightly smell of smoke upon arrival, but wasn't too bad. The elevators are very slow to arrive (I think they have may have been working on a few of them though).Read more
