A lovely privately owned Hotel / Chateau full of ancient charms and modern convenience. There is a very large outdoor heated pool set in a great location. The staff were very attentive and could not be more helpful.
We stayed in room 15, and from the moment that we arrived we could hear a faint banging sound similar to a window or shutter banging in the wind. When we went to bed the noise was still there. The duty staff manager tried to find the cause but failed. As it was past 1100pm, we resorted to a sleeping pill to get to sleep. No reduction was ever offered for this inconvenience? Another small point was...Read more
Beautiful old chateau, classic and traditional style in the French countryside. Excellent restaurant. Very nice grounds. Bedrooms are traditional in style
Overall everything was great, I think a lot more could be done in the pool area to make it nicer. Also needed a bit of a clean.
Gorgeous, serene setting. Lovely, helpful staff. A perfect stay.
One morning a large group ate breakfast and the buffet was not filled properly.
The chateau was immaculate. The rooms beautiful, and the food delicious.
It is a wonderful, professionally run, immaculate property. Great off-lead shady walk around the estate paths for our little spaniel was a real bonus, given we were breaking a long journey south. Dinner was gorgeous and the whole team very attentive. Rm 2 is a vast suite and it was so deeply comfortable, we felt like royalty. Their pool is elegant, sun-drenched and set in the lovely gardens. All i...
I can think of nothing I didn't like. We stayed two nights and I would advise three minimum and use the hotel as a base for Langeais, Chinon, Villandry. Azay-Le-Rideau - all close by.Read more
We stayed here for a couple of days as a treat at the end of our holiday and it certainly didn’t disappoint. Just driving up to the Chateau was a delight as the grounds are stunning. The staff were very welcoming and efficient. The bedroom was huge and beautifully appointed and the bathroom was great. All of the public areas were beautifully decorated. The pool area was stunning and very quiet. We...
Nice hotel, it really looks and feels like an older castle. Location was great though not really close to anything important.
The staff can be a bit more forthcoming with explanations on how is not needed to drag luggages through dust (and a long hallway at the main floor could be used instead). Also, the need to use stairs is not great when carrying large suitcases. An elevator exists but the layout of the hotel makes it ineffective.
Beautiful château. Both cultivated gardens and wild woods to enjoy strolling in. Lovely swimming pool that was very much appreciated during the recent heat wave 😛
Not enough time to spend at the Château

Everything was great, a lovely break
Exceptional service, very good breakfast and fine dinner. excellent outlook and we especially enjoyed the beauty and shade of the Cedar tree. We had a wonderful stay with our family and friends.
It is an old property, some of the building needs updating/maintenance
