Charming Bijou hotel. Love the contemporary decor inside an old characterful building. This is our 3rd stay . Hosts charming and helpful. Especially Yvonna(sp) who speaks excellent English and couldn't be more pleasant and helpful.
We would have liked a shower screen to the bath to avoid making the floor wet.
Quiet room and comfortable bed. Very clean. Fridge / tea and coffee making facilities. The automatic shoe shine in the corridor.
The layout - It’s not a ‘proper’ hotel and no longer has the feel of a chateau either. It has a ‘corporate’ feel. There was a grand lounge area that was cold and uninviting - a log fire would have transformed that area. I would describe the Lacan as ‘sterile’ and lacking atmosphere Our bathroom had a bath but no shower - which seems odd for an up market venue.
The Chateau is in a residential area set on a hill out the lovely city of Brivé. It takes about 30 minutes to walk into the city down hill! Taxi back cost 20€. The manager greeted us and showed us to our room which was clean comfortable and modern, as is the interior of the hotel. We liked the fresh flowers in the corridors. Converted chateau, very modern inside with air con rooms and dining area, which leads onto a nice patio area overlooking the garden. Staff were really helpful, English spoken by all. Breakfast was full continental with fresh orange juice. Very clean property throughout, would stay again, easy parking onsite.
No food available in the evening - even a plate of cheese or meats would have been good, as the place is a little out of the town centre. Don't suppose you would stay without a car however, so it's an easy 5 mins to restaurants.
Lovely restored chateau with beautiful decoration. Comfortable bed, very clean room with air conditioning. There was a good selection at breakfast. Overall we had a great stay.l

Beautiful boutique hotel, tastefully renovated chateau, good location just outside of the centre of town set in mature garden, best sleep on fast trip north through Europe. Would absolutely recommend 👌

It being a chateau we expected lovely gardens and country surroundings. Gardens and outside areas are neglected and untidy. It is located in an urban residential neighborhood Bathroom lacked place for toiletries.
