Shane, May 2025
Pros (+) Room 18 perfect. Afternoon sandwiches & breakfast perfect.
Cons (-) No access to more comfortable gallery restaurant unless you eat a limited taster menu. Which meant guests packed into a garden room for a la carte. Chairs not comfortable. Ambiance not as nice as gallery.

Pros (+) Breakfast, one of the best hotel breakfasts I have ever had! ( even GF) and I spend around 40 to 50 nights a year in hotels. I had a basic ground floor room but it was excellent.

Wendy, Mar 2025
Pros (+) Perfect location for visiting Chatsworth House
Cons (-) Tried twice to contact the hotel by email only to get an automated message saying they were very busy but would respond in 72 hours … I never received any response. We stayed in Room 6 which is right above reception and garden room .We found it to be noisy while the restaurant was open and in the morning we were woken at 5.30am by music being played

Pros (+) Food was delicious. The blonde waitress in the Garden Room was very good.
Cons (-) Totally ignored for about ten minutes on our arrival. Reception desk was unmanned and despite being passed (unacknowledged) by numerous staff (all avoiding eye contact) and a man rushing about looking flustered (who I assumed was the manager) I had to eventually go and ask a waitress if we could actually check in! Shortly after a young man arrived, handed us our key and sent us off with vague dire...
