The multi-tasking, efficient and knowledgeable Concierge Giuseppe welcomed us warmly and gave us a brief tour of the public areas of the castle. The Castle’s owner once served the nation in several governmental divisions and is charming, if you can converse with ...
Cons (-) Nothing. The stone and granite roadway to the castle is steep, so put the car in low drive just in case there’s an oncoming vehicle and you may need to slow your ascent. If you are a fan of walking, there is much to see and several good restaurants. However, the steep walk back to the Castle may not be for everyone.

Pros (+) Very nice hotel in Altomonte with fantastic views and good rooms. Very good service and manager very professional. Restaurant is excellent and the food of high quality and high standard. If you want to stay in an old castle, this is the place.
Cons (-) Breakfast was basic and could have been better but otherwise, we were quite satisfied with this accommodation.
