Our room was amazing, the hotel is beautiful every little detail. The location is gorgeous, right on the bay, lovely neighbourhood. But the staff! The staff made the stay really special. Also we had dinner there both nights cos the food was so good and the dining hall is gorgeous. We will definitely be back.
Nothing 10/10
The bed was very comfortable. Rooms and atmosphere lovely. The food at the restaurant was by far the best food we had eaten in Ireland thus far. The rack of lamb was probably the best lamb we have ever eaten and the seafood crowded amazing.
Shower in a bath.
The hotel has a very warm, welcoming feel. The staff have big smiles. It is a quiet place to unwind in a fairly remote spot. Nice big rooms and beds, a lounge, a library, and other rooms to relax in. The food was excellent, too.
The shower was a bit weak. Otherwise, all good.
The definition of perfect Irish hospitality, amazing location, great breakfast, phenomenal staff, really cool bar, and rustic Irish charm would recommend.
Beautiful country house hotel with wonderful food and welcoming staff
A wonderful ambiance. We felt welcome throughout our stay. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fantastic. The gardens are beautiful and very peaceful.
A lovely experience staying at this here, the service was exellent and the food really good. I would recommend this hotel.
The dinner and breakfast were a delight. We had Connemara lamb which was melt-in-your-mouth tender and delicious. The property is a grand old lady and probably needs an injection of energy and money around the house and grounds to bring it to the standard of the advertised tariffs.
The Halloween decorations were not in keeping with the style and grandeur of the place and should be removed, most of which are plastic and unsustainable. One of the party had an outbreak of bluebottles in their room, possibly caused by a hatch after the heating went on. Anyway it may be indicative of deeper lack of detail in housekeeping.
