Bagua Spa is located on site as well walking distance to the Playa Dorada Golf course which is a signature 18 holes par 72. We are a prod member of Small Luxury Hotels of the worls SLH and have been AAA 4 Diamonds awarded. Fine Dining at Lucia Restauran on site. The infinity rooftop pool for a sunset margarita is a spot not to be missed.iHotelier/iStay

Pros (+) We’ve been staying at Casa Colonial for five years following a medical mission. The facilities have always been wonderful and the staff helpful and accommodating, but this is the first year that we’ve experienced a dip in service. We hope this was just a blip on the radar.

Casa Colonial is truly a luxury experience if you define luxury as good design and excellent service. It is a very small hotel - 50 rooms - with a beautiful garden and feels much like a cocoon. If you are looking for discos, all you can eat buffets, and loads of water sports, this isn't your spot, but if you are looking for a truly relaxing and restful break, it is a wonderful hotel.

Lovely pool area, however the pool temperature was way too cold. The sauna and steam room were very dated. Small gym but pretty well equipped. Beach was kept clean but not the nicest in the area. Dinner restaurant very disappointing. Expensive and not gourmet food as advertised.

Pros (+) We have been traveling to Casa colonial for the past four years following a rigorous trip with a mission group. It is an ideal place to rest and recover, totally relaxing totally beautiful and with wonderful staff.
