The breakfast was delicious, with fresh produce. With an unbelievable location. Our room El Capitan had a beautiful view.
Not help to bring upstairs our suitcases.
Delightful old house, beautifully renovated and maintained, on the quieter part of the lake front, and within easy walking distance of restaurants, shops and bakeries. Staff were very welcoming, parking was easy to access and the breakfast was more than plentiful, with an array of local baked goods.

Casa Ayacara is an historic building has been beautifully restored and renovated with modern facilities. It's conveniently located, not far from the Teatro de Lagos, and walkable to restaurants and activities. Breakfast is served downstairs with a view of the theater and the lake. The room is comfortable with a small sitting table next to the window. The bandurrias that hang out in the nearby tree...
I was locked out of the house one afternoon. They lock the door for security which is totally understandable, but someone should be around to open it for guests.Read more
Across the street from the lake this is a charming, restored old house with modern bathrooms. The room was good size with comfortable bed. There is a view of the lake and theater from the window. Most of the staff were nice and helpful. Breakfast was complete with a different kuchen each day. It is a very walkable area with many places to sit and take in the view. The theater is just down the stre...
As it is an old house there are many stairs, thankfully they all have railings. There are numerous bandurrias that hang out in the nearby trees; they are interesting to watch but are really loud. There is a nice welcome note on the table but the flower accompanying it was totally wilted and sad.Read more
I loved the atmosphere of Casa Ayacara, it was everything I imagined. Like stepping into a hotel from the 20's with wooden floor and wooden everything. Just lovely. Staff was welcoming and very hospitable. The newly opened restaurant (not part of the hotel but in the same room where breakfast is served) served perfect homemade Italian pasta and it wasd the best breakfast we had in all of Chile.
Though the hotel is placed directly in front of the lake, unfortunately we couldn't see the lake from our room because of the tall trees. The trees do make up part of the atmosphere though. Bear in mind that the hotel is old and also not very sound proof but to me that's part of the charm.
