Everything is amazing, the Villa itself so beautiful and dressed in French and European antiques. The room was spacious and had everything we needed and verandah with seating to watch the bird life and monkeys. The breakfasts were really good with several options and a lovely cup of the tea!! The pool and gardens are beautiful and clean with sun and shade. Location is peaceful and a 15 minute walk...
Very helpful, cultural and engaged host, who helps and do everything to have relaxing and nice time in Hikkaduwa. Nice, comfort and clean villa offers various breakfast and optional, good quality and delicious dinner.

The property is advertised as a private full villa however neither booking.com or the website mention that there are staff at the property 24/7, including the owner who lives there. Ultimately this wasn't a problem as Verena and her team go out of their way to ensure you have an excellent stay, however it does mean that the villa felt more like a small boutique hotel rather than the private space ...Read more
Lovely comfortable house with a great garden, lovely pool, security and fully staffed with delicious food courtesy of chef - really no need to eat elsewhere. We ate some absolutely amazing meals. Tours were easy to organize and of high quality. The beach was 10 minutes walk away and was amazing. Evenings were pleasant and were enjoyed with a nice bottle of wine!
The only issue was that the host was so desperate for us to have a good time the attention occasionally felt a bit restrictive and occasionally overwhelming. Clearly they need timings, orders in advance, menu planning and certainties which are often challenging with the 6 young children in a group of 2 families! But it’s clear that it comes from a deep desire to provide an amazing experience!
Our stay was outstanding. The staff were attentive and made us feel vey comfortable. I would recommend to anybody to come to this place.

Very grand and spacious. Exceptionally clean and room was cleaned every day. Gardens and pool area beautiful and maintained to a high standard. Away from main road and traffic. Vereena very helpful, was a very relaxing stay. Best bed so far!
Breakfast was adequate for us but no choice to have a Sri Lankan breakfast. There was noise from neighbouring dog but that is something you cannot avoid in Sri Lanka.

The food service was delicious. The facilities were exceptional and the staff were so helpful and courteous. The location was superb, close to the beach but secluded enough to relax.
