Very quite lifestyle and enjoyable stay. He has 3 dogs but they are very cute and friendly. The room we had was very well kept and clean. I overall liked the place a lot. The staff is very kind, even if communication can be a bit hard sometimes because of the language barrier. The place looks lovely and clean. There could be a lot of noise. Especially in the morning when the cleaning came. When they knocked on the opposite door of us it sounded like they knocked on our door. That's why a do not disturb sign would be good, if you don't want the room to be cleaned and want to sleep in. Otherwise you will be woken up by room service. Had a nice stay in Syracuse. The propery is situsted in a quiet residential area about 18 mts away from Ortigia. Great beach club and restaurants nearby. The pool was excellent , the kids had a blast. Vincenzo was extremely helpful and accommodating.
Due to our late arrival, the staff had to wait at the premises for the check in They were willing to provide me with extra sugar when needed They provided me with an internet connection at the reception (as the internet connection inside the rooms was not working )
1. No internet connection inside the room (although advertised on their webpage and on booking.com) 2. Although there was a regular cleaning service towels were never changed (I had to request it from the owner on the third day of my stay) and garbage bags were not removed. 3 The toilet flush was not working and the quantity of water was not enough 4. The location of the Borgo Marino is exceptional, secluded yet a stone throw away from Syracuse and the beach. An experience that is pure bliss. The staff were ever so helpful and courteous. The property is kept clean and the pool area so spacious.
