Pros (+) We picked Audley Wood as it was a dog friendly hotel. Our room was a nice size, really clean and had tea/coffee facilities. The little extra touches inc Dog bowls,treats and a cozy bed for our furry friend. All the staff were polite and friendly especially Sebastian who made our stay memorable. Pros (+) Lovely hotel in a very attractive setting. Staff were all excellent. Very comfortable room and delicious breakfast.
Cons (-) Shower over the bath was quite difficult to get in and out of and my elderly mother was unable to use it. I don't know whether they have the option of a room with walk in shower.

Pros (+) Beautiful old building set in a lovely forested landscape. We enjoyed the ambiance having a pre dinner drink in the old wood panelled bar. Food was particularly good with an excellent dinner surpassing our expectations. Very good English breakfast.
Cons (-) Weather wasn’t particularly cold but willingness to light a big fire ( I did ask) would have added atmosphere at a time ( post Easter) when the hotel was quiet and lacked sone resulting atmosphere. Minor point in an overall very nice one night stay.
