The location was perfect (close to my mother's carehome), and we had a fabulous walk before dark, and a visit to the *remarkable* church in the village. It is a magical place, the pub/bar and location especially, and we did enjoy dinner in the restaurant.
It is expensive, breakfast too. For that sort of money, even in Oxfordshire ... And the room is in some respects more quirky than comfortable, though my partner had (I believe) a fabulous bath.
I have stayed here many times now and normally really enjoy my stay. However it was my first time staying in room 12. It was tiny and freezing cold with no way of adjusting the heating. As I love stayed many times before an upgrade on a quite night would have helped. However now I left wondering if I’ll bother going back.
Was very clean and nice furnishing.
Staff members were helpful, polite and friendly. The accommodation was an experience. Had to walk through a herb garden to the quarters. Really nice. The location was great; peaceful with bird song. Well proportioned with everything you could need. The bar/dining area was interesting. Location in peaceful countryside yet easy to reach Witney and major roads. Pub and hotel full of character and charm.

A beautiful propery. Great food, comfy beds. Peaceful location
The hotel is wonderful and worth every penny. Don't hesitate to book this hotel. The team on site, the location, the rooms, bedding etc etc are all wonderful. Really loved it!
Everything was perfect
The shepherds hut itself was fabulous, couldn’t fault it. It was fabulously stocked full of everything you would need for a great stay. Really clean and the attention to detail was second to none.

We looked out onto a really unattractive plastic marquee that flapped in the wind, absolutely nothing like the one shown in the photos, which really spoilt the whole outlook onto the hotel itself. I also didn’t appreciate seeing who looked lik...Read more
Lovely spot in countryside and nicely decorated and comfortable. Great pub.
I thought the room was a bit disappointing for the price, as in it was pretty tiny. The linens and bed were good quality though.
Beautiful, great for a family of 5.
