Very clean room, comfy bed. Ecxellent breakfast with good menu choice. Beautiful spot with view of bridge and nice river walk. Very quiet. Easy access to Rothbury and Cragside, also to Alnwick and coast.
Shower in room 2 very slow to drain, had to stop-start shower to prevent overspilling shower tray and flooding floor. Dining room felt a little stark so did not tempt us to eat dinner there.
Staff were lovely. Breakfast and dinner great. Locals were lovey to chat to. Most importantly the Guinness was the best I’ve tasted in a long time.

For the cost of the bed and breakfast the whole stay was exceptional. The evening meal and breakfast were great.
A lovely welcome. The owner went out of their way to accommodate oyr needs. Room was nicely furnished and well equipped. Great breakfast. Menu to suit everyone. Parking was easy too.
If I 'm being picky I found the dpuble bed a bit small. Though the matress was very comfy.

Our room and bed comfy, bathroom tired. Food on the expensive side The dining room and bar areas lacked atmosphere, it was also very quiet so people could hear other’s Conversations which was uncomfortable.
This was our second stay at the Angler's with its' location perfect for our visit to Cragside. Room was good though the two flights of stairs were a struggle for my wife. My fault for not requesting a lower floor! Food was excellent and the staff went out of their way to provide my wife with a meal that met her particular dietary requirements.
Shower was reluctant to drain quickly. Bathroom extractor fan non-operational. Neither caused any real problems.
Very peaceful and scenic location, clean room and public areas. Bathroom looks reasonably new with everything we needed. Food at dinner and breakfast was excellent and all staff very helpful and friendly, thank you.
Shower pressure and drainage could be improved but we managed!
