Our room and bed comfy, bathroom tired. Food on the expensive side The dining room and bar areas lacked atmosphere, it was also very quiet so people could hear other’s Conversations which was uncomfortable.
This was our second stay at the Angler's with its' location perfect for our visit to Cragside. Room was good though the two flights of stairs were a struggle for my wife. My fault for not requesting a lower floor! Food was excellent and the staff went out of their way to provide my wife with a meal that met her particular dietary requirements.
Shower was reluctant to drain quickly. Bathroom extractor fan non-operational. Neither caused any real problems.
Very peaceful and scenic location, clean room and public areas. Bathroom looks reasonably new with everything we needed. Food at dinner and breakfast was excellent and all staff very helpful and friendly, thank you.
Shower pressure and drainage could be improved but we managed!

wonderful , friendly and helpful staff. Food excellent. Hotel situated in a quiet position for a relaxing evening but convenient for travelling and seeing the sights along and near the beautiful Northumberland coast. Highly recommended.
Nothing , happy with everything
The Anglers Arms is in a beautiful location just 20 minutes from Alnwick. We stayed in The Apartment which was a great size for me and my 9-year-old. It was immaculately clean, comfortable, and well-equipped for what we needed with a comfy bed. The play park was a big hit and perfect for keeping kids entertained. The property was in a lovely quiet area overlooking the river, very peaceful. From the minute we got there the staff were excellent from checking us in to when we left. Breakfast was excellent, the service in bar and restaurant was fantastic. Would highly recommend the hotel.

The Anglers Arms cottage was a perfect place to stay for a few days of relaxation and visiting family. Mo and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Our vegan Sunday lunch and breakfasts were excellent, and the bar was lovely for an evening pint. We will definitely return.
