Breakfast was ok. I didn’t enjoy poached eggs made with vinegar to set them, learn to cook! Dining hall was empty, took 8 minutes for a waiter to arrive 🥱. Evening meal was good, but wine pairing was poor, no information offered. One waiter was particularly pushy trying to get our order asap 😔. Cobwebs in volume all over the rafters of our room. Lovely stay for my Mum's 70th Birthday. Huge thanks to Sophia and her lovely team for making our stay so comfortable. Discrete service with a strong eye for detail, cannot wait to return!
Breakfast was second to none. 99% of staff amazing.
The reception that I received from the Receptionist shortly after we arrived. I was trying to receive a very important telephone message from France on a Sunday just before the French Agence was about to close. They had tried x3 times. Staying in a Castle. Liked the warm welcome, and being warm with the open fires.
The driveway,it was so.pot holed and bumpy!
