Pros (+) Location was great, super close to Kyoto station which made it handy when getting an early morning train. Breakfast was brilliant, lots of choice and great flavours. It had public baths which my husband used, sadly I couldn't use it because of their tattoo policy so I utilised the bath in our room instead.
Cons (-) We had stayed at lots of other hotels etc in Japan in the run up to staying at Almont, I would say that the staff aren't as friendly in comparison to other places. The layout of the room could be improved. I had a medium sized suitcase and in other small Japanese hotel rooms the spaces had been designed where you could lay out your suitcase easily despite being a small room, Almont was definitely ...
