From the moment we arrived, Abaton Island Resort felt like paradise. The staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and attentive, always making sure we had everything we needed. The rooms were modern, spacious, and impeccably clean, with breathtaking views of the sea.
Staying at this resort will set a high standard for all your future vacations. If you’re thinking about staying here — think about it.
We loved every minute of our stay. From the minute we walked in, we loved it. I believe it is the most beautiful reception I have ever seen - the ocean as a backdrop is just picture perfect. If we had to mention one point of improvement it would be the offering of vegetarian dishes. Even though all F&B outlets offered vegetarian menus, the dishes felt more like a side dish than a main course. Kosta at Buddha bar was rather rude when we tried to order drinks, informing my husband that he cannot take orders and my husband had to find a waiter/waitress. The property is beautiful, clean and has a variety of different dining options. We visited during their off peak season so it was not crowded; we were always able to have a sunbed on the beach, go to the restaurants without booking and service was fairly quick. The hotel is fairly close to the airport, so it was convenient for a shorter stay.
Access was a little tricky with a pram. When we left, the hotel asked us what we thought of our stay. We wrote them an email stating our concerns, but this was never acknowledged, which I believe is insincere. The hotel prides itself on customer service, but weren’t polite enough to respond to my email. The staff were so friendly, we were treated as we came as VIP, took our luggage served us drinks and checked us in VIP style! We got a room upgrade from the simplest room to a higher tier room, was very generous of them. The room was in pristine condition, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was superb - a really great selection of foods with ice cream and bottles of fizz too! The room was clean and very stylish, the bed big and comfy, Elemis shampoo and shower gel, a fab balcony with a great sea view.
Every lunch time, we had lunch in the Buddha Bar. On one occasion, the music was so loud you couldn’t hear yourself speak. My partner asked the waitress if they could turn the volume down a touch but she said they couldn’t, they always have it at this volume. It’s not the kind of response you expect from an otherwise really fabulous hotel.
Wonderful stay. Loved the friendliness of the staff the property is in a great location. Beautiful hotel where the attention to details is really seen and felt. If you’re looking for a relaxing stay this is the place to come to.
