Located in southwest Michigan, its foundations were laid in the 1870s but recent renovations have landed this picturesque place on fantastic footing.

Venue Setting

The Hidden Vineyard Wedding Barn is a true working farm in Southwestern Michigan. The foundations of the barn were first laid in the late 1870s, making it one of the longest continually operating farms in the region. There is a large Catalpa tree near the barn that is the second largest Catalpa tree in Michigan and makes for a wonderful outdoor ceremony site. The old barn hosts lovely receptions and has a large covered deck that overlooks the vineyard. The elegant restored barn and attached covered deck overlook the 10 acre vineyard, 1-acre pond, crop fields, and a wildflower meadow. The venue is best suited for small to mid-sized weddings in the warmer months of summer and early fall.

The Scene:
The Hidden Vineyard Wedding Barn boasts a Heritage Tree that is near the barn. It is the second largest Catalpa in the state of Michigan, second only to the one that resides in Lansing, Michigan. The Heritage Tree creates a beautiful setting for a ceremony site and gorgeous photos. The barn is part of a working farm that produces its own honey, maple syrup, and grapes. The location is open to views that include a beautiful native wildflower field, pond and vineyard for you and your guests to enjoy during the celebration.
Design:
Our venue boasts a restored barn with an open concept, overhead fans for air circulation, along with many vintage props and decorations to choose from. Brides (and bridesmaids) will love the bridal suite that is available for getting ready for their big day. It boasts plenty of room with mirrors, air-conditioning, plenty of electrical outlets, and places to sit or rest until the ceremony starts. There is also a groom's area for the gentlemen to get ready in for the wedding day as well.
Standout Venue Features:
The beautiful working farm property offers several distinct areas that can be used for ceremonies depending on your preferences. Ceremonies can be held in the old barn, on the large covered deck overlooking the vineyard, near the pond, or under the majestic Catalpa tree. For small events you can even opt to set up dining tables in the vineyard!
Extra Perks:
If the wedding ceremony is held at the Hidden Vineyard Wedding Barn the bridal suite is included in the venue rental fee. Two different chandeliers are also available to hang from the Heritage Tree for the wedding ceremony. There are many other decorative and vintage items included in the cost as well, a list is provided upon request. Tables and chairs are also included in the rental price.

In the middle of a gorgeous meadow, just 90 minutes outside Chicago, sits this beautifully rustic 19th century barn. Inside, sunlight peeks through the mile-high slatted rooftop and onto the massive old wood beam supports below. It’s the kind of setting where celebrating comes easily, where wine seems abundant, and where dancing should be a requirement.

This countryside venue is as romantic as it is rustic, with the option of getting married under a magnificent old tree or opting for the backdrop of vineyards or grassy meadows. A cool cocktail hour could take place out on the lawns, or you can set out some cute lounge vignettes and cozy up to the big ole barn’s giant front porch. Dinner and dancing in the barn easily fits about 150 guests, and we highly recommend choosing your guests based on their ability to dance in cowboy boots.

The Report

Who's ready for a good ol' barn party?! Our reporters are thawing out from our winter hibernation because Spring hath arrived. We are ready to throw on our dancing boots and host one heck of a jubilee. We have all agreed that Hidden Vineyard Wedding Barn  would be the perfect venue setting for this spring soiree of our dreams. This new stunner, set on pastoral crop fields, a 10-acre vineyard, a pond, and forested vistas just opened in late 2013.

Hidden Vineyard Wedding Barn is a true working farm in Southwestern Michigan.  The foundations of the barn were first laid in the late 1870s, making it one of the longest continually operating farms in the region. There is a large Catalpa tree near the barn that is the second largest Catalpa tree in Michigan and makes for a wonderful outdoor ceremony site. The old barn hosts lovely receptions and has a large covered deck that overlooks the vineyard. The serene farm property is only available for wedding celebrations and is
 best suited for smaller to mid-sized events.

HOW WILL MY GUESTS GET HERE?:The Hidden Vineyard property is located about 90 minutes from Chicago and only 30 minutes from South Bend, IN. Guests can fly into Chicago and rent a car for a beautiful drive along Lake Michigan or fly South Bend regional airport, which is only a 30 minute drive.
