In this edition of our collaborations with Chairish to recreate venue spaces we love, we’re doing a deep dive into the London hotel scene. Artist Residence London is the apple of our eyes, and we’re willing to bet a few of you out there might share this design crush. So, if you’re in the market for a bedroom upgrade, redo or styling magic, come along as we shop around to replicate this glamorous, vintage space.
Artist Residence London is a 10-room townhouse that’s located in the Pimlico conservation area, just near Oxford Street, Soho and Chelsea. The building dates back to the 19th century and the rooms inside are a mix of glamorous Hollywood Regency design and classic, vintage styling. It’s the kind of place travelers love for its comfort and beauty, while it’s also the kind of place admirers can use as bedroom inspiration goals.

If you ask us, the pièce de résistance in the London Artists Residence suite is that gorgeous French canopy bed. Handcrafted in a New Orleans workshop, this metal canopy bed has similar lines, with an upholstered linen headboard to complete the look. The finish is a satin stone gray, with antique gold finials.
To anchor your new bedroom’s look with color, this vibrant green velvet tuxedo sofa should do the trick. Custom made to order, this Michael Thomas sofa will arrive at your doorstep in mint condition.
To keep the lounge space looking sleek, a glass topped coffee table is what you’ll need. This Hollywood Regency piece has a beautiful gold gilt designed iron base and a perfect top for resting a cup of tea or glass of bubbly.
To recreate that London Artists Residence look, complement the green velvet sofa with this showstopper of a chair. Attributed to Danish designer Finn Juhl, this mid-century lounge chair has been expertly restored and reupholstered in Schumacher emerald silk velvet and piped in Brazilian ivory cowhide.
