Located in Union Square of San Francisco, the museum is easily accessible from the shops and restaurants located in the area. Parking garages are nearby but we suggest getting a ride to the museum via bus or ride share for a stress-free arrival. Buy your tickets online (sometimes day-of tickets are available!), and present your online ticket at the door. Be careful to take a look at your time slot on your ticket!
It’s currently Pinkmas at the museum meaning the entire space got a festive makeover complete with a candy cane forest and an exclusive gingerbread ice cream flavor. Just about every hall is decked and spreading sweet holiday cheer. Once Pinkmas is over, the museum will get a new look for the season... stay tuned!
Of course, the museum is filled with perfectly placed photo opps but there's so much more to experience and connect with during your visit. While you will always be able to get the perfect shot, a couple days each month, the first select people to elect to leave their phone/camera with the front desk will get free admission.

Focused on being a community pillar, the museum has designed some sweet and creative ways to not only get involved with the community, but give back to it. Some of the experiences of the museum are solely focused on connecting with others such as the experience where you are encouraged to write an uplifting note to a stranger.
Have an afternoon to yourself or want a fun way to meet new people? Certain days of the month the museum offers free admission to a select number of people who show up by themselves. Why? The interactive tour provides the perfect opportunity for mingling and new friend making. We love this option for locals and visitors alike.
Beyond being the most fun museum you’ll probably ever experience, the event possibilities at the museum will make you melt. Some of the event set-up options include:
- Host part of your event up on the mezzanine while the museum is still open to the public and once it's closed, have free reign over the space for tours, exploration and tastings, after hours.
- If you coordinate with the museum enough in advance (i.e. no tickets have been sold on your desired event day), you can buyout the entire museum for a private event – dreamy!
- The museum is closed on Tuesday, so this would be the ideal day to create a totally private, custom event at any time of the day!
