One of my favourite enjoyable girls’ getaways is a ski trip. Head to the pristine Salbaach in the Austrian Alps during the White Mountain Snow Days when there are après ski parties organized all around the resort.

Stay at Forsthofalm, a ski-in/ski-out eco-hotel, which sits right at the foot of the ski slopes. The entire upper floor of the hotel is home to a lounge area, spa, gym, and outdoor heated pool where you can relax after a day on the slopes.

Make a special request of the hotel to arrange a private champagne breakfast for your group on the snow overlooking the mountains.

Despite visiting Marrakech 6 times, I still want to go back for more! There is so much to see in this bustling city, the architecture and history must be explored, the magical gardens relaxed in, and every new hip café dined in. Any time left can be spent browsing the souk and stocking up on boho pouffes, rugs and blankets for your apartment back home. But what makes Marrakech so special for a girls’ getaway are the riads!

My favourite place to stay with a girls’ group is the Almaha. This stunning riad in the medina is a top choice for our own Travel Girls Getaways – the girls love the open courtyard, huge bedrooms, the private pool, and terrace overlooking the city and of course the divine spa where you can indulge in a luxurious hammam.

Take a day trip to the coastal town of Essaouira, around 2.5 hours drive from Marrakech. The city is a welcome change of pace from Marrakech and a great place to do your shopping with fixed prices and a calmer atmosphere than the busy souk in Marrakech!

Made famous by Game of Thrones, Dubrovnik is a beautiful European destination to make you and your group feel like royalty. Fly into Dubrovnik and book a room at one of the many hotels or unique Airbnbs in Old Town. Spend your first day exploring the city, taking advantage of one of the Game of Thrones’ tours to see the inspiration behind King’s Landing.

The next day, book a boat for a day of sailing around the neighboring islands. The Croatian coast is one of the most beautiful in the world, and island hopping with your own boat (and a few bottles of rosé) is a perfect way to spend an afternoon.

If your group is really looking to get your party on, then book a boat on the famous Yacht Week Croatia. Be warned: it’s not for the faint-hearted, but if you can party for 7 straight days it will be one of the most fun weeks of your life!

If money is no object and you are ready to fly around the world for your girls’ getaway then book your ticket to the ultra-luxury eco-resort of Bawah in Indonesia. Land in Singapore and be whisked by private car to begin your journey by boat and then by seaplane.

This secluded slice of heaven is made up of 6 Islands, 3 Lagoons and 13 Beaches and with only a small number of bungalows, you will rarely even see other guests! You and your girlfriends can spend your days paddleboarding, kayaking, snorkeling, and diving in the crystal clear water and spend your evenings watching the most magical sunsets over cocktails.

Request a private picnic for your group on one of the other islands and enjoy having your own private paradise!

Las Vegas has its reputation as the hen-do capital of the US, and for good reason. Book one of the hotels on the strip (I recommend The Comsopolitan or The Wynn) and get ready for a wild weekend! During the day, make sure to go to one of Vegas’ famous pool parties with international DJ’s like Kaskade, Tiesto or Marshmello. Some of the best pool parties are at XS, Marquee, or the newly opened Kaos at The Palms.

After your day of fun in the sun, go back to your hotel for a very necessary nap and get ready for a night on the town. Book dinner at one of the dozens of Michelin rated restaurants in Las Vegas, wear your best cocktail dress and head to one of the mega clubs. Hakkasan, Omnia, or Marquee are always a good time!

Go beyond the strip and visit the Neon Museum, 7 Magic Mountains, the Valley of Fire or even helicopter over the Grand Canyon!

With trendy cafes on every corner, Instagrammable cocktail bars at the beach, boutique shopping that beats any major city, and luxurious villas the size of a celebrity compound available to rent at affordable prices – Bali is the perfect girls getaway destination!

Rent a villa for your group through Elite Havens. My favourite is Villa Malaathina where we host our Bali retreats. The villa exceeds any other I have stayed with its huge pool, enormous gym, dedicated yoga studio, massage rooms, and more living spaces than you will know what to with, as well as the teppanyaki area for a private chef cooked teppanyaki meal.

If your girls' group enjoys a good hike, book a trip to hike Mount Batur for sunrise. You will start your adventure in the middle of the night and reach the peak around 5:30am where you will be rewarded with the most beautiful sunrise appearing over the volcanos that lay adjacent to Mount Batur.

My all-time favourite girls’ getaway destination had to appear in this roundup. Heading to the home of Santa Claus, Lapland may not seem like a typical girls’ getaways destination, but I promise you won’t be disappointed!

Plan your trip to spend a few days in both Ivalo and Rovaniemi where you can sleep under the stars in an igloo at Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort and then in an ice hotel at the Arctic Snow Hotel. Your days will be spent with your girlfriends driving ski mobiles through snow-tipped forests, toasting marshmallows on bonfires and evenings in outdoor snow hot tubs with a glass of champagne in hand!

To save a few dollars choose the most basic room in the Ice Hotel. You only sleep here at night, the rest of the day all the rooms and suites that are decorated so ornately are open and free for you to wander around and get as many pictures as you want!

Oh, Holbox, you have my heart and it will win yours too! Holbox is a small island on the northern tip of the Yucatan in Mexico. There are now a handful of hip hotels springing up but it still maintains its local charm – think Tulum 10 years ago. But Holbox is catching up fast so grab your girls and head there this summer!

Stay at my favourite family-run hotel on the island, Casa las Tortugas, which sits right on the beach with each room uniquely and beautifully designed. The resort also has a spa, beach club, seaside restaurant and a boutique to shop till your heart's content!

Plan your trip between July and August to time it with whale shark season. Holbox is an ethical place to snorkel with whale sharks in an environment that does not allow you to disturb the migration patterns of these animals. This is a once in a lifetime experience to share with your best girlfriends!

A weekend in London is the ultimate girls’ getaway! With so much to do, I recommend spending your time in London like a local and staying in Notting Hill. Notting Hill is one of the few areas in London that truly feels like a small village where everyone knows one another.

Start your day having breakfast on Westbourne Grove at one of the most popular hangouts like 202, Daylesford Organic or Granger and Co. Be prepared to queue for over an hour to get a table and act cool if a celebrity is dining next to you – I have sat beside Chris Hemsworth more than once! Then spend the day shopping at Notting Hill’s best boutiques and head to The Westbourne for an afternoon jug of Pimm’s. In the evening hit the Electric Cinema for a movie and a bite to eat at the adjoining Electric restaurant or the best pizza in London at The Oak nearby. 

Stay at stylish The Laslett, located perfectly near the tube and all Notting Hill highlights. The hotel is as cool as Notting Hill itself, filled with art from famous Londoners.

Strolling down Portobello Road is a must, but to see another side of Notting Hill and get the colourful houses all to yourself head in the opposite direction to Hillgate Place.

The quintessential California road trip, take Highway 1 roughly an hour north of Santa Barbara until you reach Avila Beach. This quaint beachside town is filled with fun things to do with your girlfriends!

Begin your day getting fresh produce for a picnic at the Avila Valley Barn then hop on a bike to ride the Bob Jones Trail all the way to the ocean. Make sure to go wine tasting at Kelsey See Canyon Vineyards, take a dip in the thermal waters at the Avila Hot Springs and take a short hike to Pirates Cove where you will be rewarded with the most spectacular cliffside views of the ocean.

Have your girls' group book rooms at Sycamore Mineral Springs and book one of the woodland hot tubs or even reserve the Oasis Waterfall Lagoon for a private group pamper session. Don’t forget to bring some bubbly!

If you plan to hike the beautiful Pecho Coast trail or visit the lighthouse make sure to book your place on the hike in advance as there is a limit to the number of hikers allowed on the trail at any one time. Hikes only take place on Wednesday, Saturday and the first Monday of the month.
